Healthcare Revolution in Full Swing

by John on 12/22/2015

Don’t you hate people saying, “I told you so?”

Well, hate me.

The healthcare revolution is happening. And I have been saying this for nearly two years now.

And I couldn’t be prouder.

Liberty HealthShare membership has grown six-fold from the beginning of 2015 until today.

Here are the numbers.

  • On January 1, 2015, Liberty HealthShare had 2530 households that were members.
  • Today that number is 12,793. (Update: By July 1, 2016 that number has doubled; now over 25,000 households.)
  • That translates into more than 34,000 individuals now using medical cost sharing. (Update: now more than 65,000 individuals.)

And here are some of those people who listened to me. Tony Adimey, Donna Tagliaferri, Kathy Clair, and A.J. Gohil.

And look at what I have brought you through video, radio, and posts.

Liberty HealthShare is a non-profit where members come together to share each other’s medical bills.

It is so easy to use.

And it works.

Watch this family in the Boston area telling me their story about a huge Med Flight bill – shared by Liberty HealthShare members — when their 1-year-old had to be flown to Mass General.

How about this couple explaining to me about medical bills way over $300,000 for a heart attack – all shared by Liberty HealthShare members.

Or listen to this woman who has high blood pressure but she told me being on Liberty HealthShare has freed her from medication.

Liberty HealthShare is recognized by the Affordable Care Act so you avoid the fines and penalties for not having insurance. If you haven’t signed up for health insurance, you should – to avoid those fines and penalties. If you have already signed up, you can check out Liberty HealthShare by calling this number: 1-888-616-9443.

Ironically, the ACA and its flaws are helping Liberty HealthShare grow.

But why is this happening?

First, we attract healthy people. In fact, we put in place a system that makes it easier to become healthier. The healthcare system over the last 40 years has been a sick care system – not a healthcare system. Prevention, spurred by a healthy lifestyle, leads to healthier people keeping costs down. The stats are there: 80% of what ails us is either curable or controlled by lifestyle changes: diet, exercise, and stress reduction.

Second, we access great discounts because we are not insurance. We are self-pay patients. In addition, we have programs – like Liberty Complete which I use – that will allow members to share medical expenses up to $1 million per medical incident. Read that again. $1 million per medical incident.

Third, doctors love it.

Fourth, most of you are seeing your healthcare costs rise. Insurance companies are consolidating so prices have to increase based on lower supply and higher demand. Liberty HealthShare saved me more than $500 a month to start out; today it would be over $800 a month.

Fifth, Liberty HealthShare while extolling old-fashioned values is really a disruptive company.

OK, so now you have seen the evidence.

Do I have to keep harping on you?
