I am currently reading and enjoying “Quiet: The Power of Introverts In A World That Can’t Stop Talking” by Susan Cain.
I will have a full review shortly.
But I wanted to mention the book in connection with the story at Yahoo where new CEO Marissa Mayer has ordered everyone back to their desks – and not work from home – or quit by June 1.
Meyer seems to be going against Cain’s findings, so far in my reading.
Does anyone have any thoughts either on the book, Yahoo, or their own experience?
Oh by the way, I am clearly an introvert. Sure, I am on TV. But my TV style clearly is not of an extrovert. (Hey I write a blog more than I do TV these days, right?)
The book is a good companion to the book I recently reviewed on psychopaths.
Interestingly, as we get closer to the release of the new Gatsby movie, Cain discusses how our “personality driven” ways began right around the 1920s.
But I will explain in the review soon.
