We should anticipate some hot spots around the globe — especially in Africa.  We’re seeing it already in Mali.

A couple of take-aways if you can’t listen right away.

Mali matters to the US.

  • They have massive natural resources that need to be open to the world economy and not terrorists.
  • Islamic extremists seem bent on controlling swaths of Africa.
  • US troops don’t need to be on the ground, but Special Forces can advise.  (Next podcast)
